Bergmann Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG takes data protection, and in particular the protection of your personal data, seriously. The data protection rules and features of this website conform to the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). Our employees are contract-bound to confidentiality and compliance with the relevant data protection regulations.

Personal data

Data protection regulations are primarily designed to protect personal data. According to article 3 (1) BDSG, this concerns in particular your name, address, e-mail address and telephone number. In addition, data protection also applies to use of data such as IP addresses.


Data collection - purpose and use of data

In principle, our website can be accessed and used without the need to reveal any personal details. If you wish to place an order, we however need some personal details from you. This data is stored and used exclusively for the purpose for which is has been provided, i.e. the fulfilment of the order. This also applies to requests for tenders, job applications through our contact form and general queries made through our website. When you access our website, we record and store some data for statistical purposes. This information includes the operating system and browser used to access our site, the referrer IP address (i.e. the URL from which you have accessed our website) and the date and time of access. This information is used exclusively for statistical purposes in connection with the further optimisation of our website. We reserve the right to evaluate the data in cases where we suspect a misuse of our system, as it enables us to identify the cause and possibly the source of the misuse.

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service from Google Inc. (hereafter referred to as "Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies to evaluate the use of a website. The data about your visit to our website that is collected in cookies (including your IP address) are sent to a server operated by Google in the USA and stored there. In case of activation of the IP anonymization, Google will truncate/anonymize the last octet of the IP address for Member States of the European Union as well as for other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases, the full IP address is sent to and shortened by Google servers in the USA. On behalf of the website provider, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website provider. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. We do not disclose any personal data to third parties, unless this is necessary to process your order or request. Under our statutory obligation of disclosure, we will forward personal data to the relevant state bodies as required by law or on foot of a court order.
